Our mammals are majestic and charismatic, and many of them face a difficult future, none more so than the beautiful red squirrel. I had the privilege of photographing red squirrels in Cumbria, it was my first time seeing them in the wild and it was an experience I will never forget. The magnificent red deer were photographed in the New Forest in Hampshire. The super cute harvest mice were photographed in controlled conditions.
